Dr. Roman Klinger
Roman Klinger joined the semantic computing group in January 2013. His research is in different aspects of information extraction and retrieval as well as machine learning for structured prediction. A focus of his work is aspect-oriented sentiment and opinion mining, another is bio-medical natural language processing. Before, he was a research associate at the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing (SCAI) in Sankt Augustin and lectured at the Bonn-Aachen Center for Information Technology of the University of Bonn. He graduated in computer science at the University of Dortmund in 2006 and obtained his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) from the Technical University in Dortmund in collaboration with Fraunhofer SCAI in 2011.
